African Laughter is a Kenyan limited liability company founded in June 2007 by Jenny Luesby, an international business journalist, trainer and consultant. Driven by the scarcity of information services for Kenyan businesses, educational institutions, decision makers and citizens - as well as misconceptions about Kenya and Africa - the firm was set up to create a new kind of media that would drive Kenya’s rise as a middle income economy.

The company produces more than 30,000 words a week of original Kenyan content on business, agriculture, health and parenting, which it supplies to the mainstream media, and through its own news websites and newspaper.

African Laughter has also emerged as a supplier of boutique PR services to some of the country’s most innovative corporates; is at the centre of media and PR training and consultancy; and is an authority in media research and content supply, graphic and web design, publishing and e-marketing.

The firm credits its success to its team of research oriented, change conscious and committed young Kenyans.
